Being unfamiliar with the Alps, being raised 1650 meters below Safiental, my first focus of my research was on understanding and experiencing the mountainous landscape and its context. Focussing on the (un)conscious effects of the geographical environment, walking and framing became my critical tool for experimentation with the mountainous landscape. With these psychogeographic experiments and intuitive impressions I explored the balance between the physicality as well as the beyond human proportion of the mountains.
