The collective research wall draws together concepts of and related to landscape —ideas of landscape, the physical space of landscape, landscape experience, politics, and process, etc. Together, concepts and terms are mapped alongside images, texts, and other references to produce a research map of what landscape is, and, perhaps, what landscape may cease to be. Overlaid on top of this map are lines of connections added by participants of the Alps Art Academy. These strings plot specific relations between concepts and content determined by individuals, forming a meaning machine, collectively weaving a mesh that represents the subjectivity and complexity of landscape.
